The Russian reached the final of the prestigious Swiss watch award

The organizing Committee of the time of the award of the Grand Prix of fine watchmaking (Grand Prix d’horlogerie de Genève) has announced the finalists. This was reported on the website of the award.

The number of hours selected by the jury — two models created by the Russian watchmaker Konstantin Chaykin: Clown (in the category “Petite Aiguille” — the democratic watch) and Automaton Joker (nominated Mechanical Exception (“Exceptional mechanics”)). The second model created by Chaykin in collaboration with watchmaker Svend Andersen (Andersen Genève SA brand). In 2017 in the final of the Grand Prix d’horlogerie de Genève released a model of a Russian Joker, however, the prize is not received.

Among the other nominees — models Bvlgari (Octo Finissimo Minute Repeater Carbon Skeleton Lvcea and zero range), Montblanс (1858 Pocket Watch Limited Edition of 100), Van Cleef & Arpels (Secret de Coccinelle) Chanel (Boy-friend Skeleton and a Bouton de Camélia), Longines (Record), Vacheron Constantin (Les Aérostiers — Paris 1783) and others.

The winners of the Grand Prix d’horlogerie de Genève will be announced on 9 November 2018 on the 18th of GPHG awards ceremony to be held in Geneva’s historic theatre a “Lehman”.

Hour competition Grand Prix d’horlogerie de Genève is held since 2001. Experts choose the best, in their opinion, female and male models in various categories, and also awarded the “Golden arrow” Grand Prix for the most interesting models.
