The Ukrainian fishing vessel with four crew members detained in the Crimea by Russian border guards. This is stated on the website of the National police of the country.
The incident occurred on August 28. It is noted that the fishermen now are at the frontier of Sevastopol.
Criminal case under two articles of the Criminal code of Ukraine — “Illegal imprisonment or kidnapping” (part 1 of article 146) and “the Hijacking or seizure of a sea or river vessel, committed by a group of persons” (part 2 of article 278). According to him, are punished with imprisonment up to eight years.
The investigation is ongoing, are the circumstances of the incident. The Russian law enforcement agencies to this situation has not yet commented on reports RIA Novosti.
On 10 August in the port of Kherson was detained a Russian tanker “Mekhanik Pogodin”. The crew consists of 12 citizens of Russia. 16 Aug aboard “the Mechanic Pogodin” twice tried to penetrate the unknown. On 17 August, the Minister of infrastructure Volodymyr Omelian announced that Ukraine could confiscate Russian tanker “to cover losses”.
