Two ministries of culture and Finance is considering the introduction in Russia of the tourist fee, which will be included in the price. About it writes RBC with reference to the representatives of these two institutions.
The fee can be set at one to two percent of the cost of living. All funds will go to the budget of regions. A pilot project could be launched in St. Petersburg, and then will spread all over the country from 2020.
With such proposals already made by the Governor of St. Petersburg Georgy Poltavchenko. According to him, the imposition of a fee is required for the restoration of monuments for which the town is visited by tourists.
Now in three regions of Russia — Krasnodar, Stavropol and Altai territories — already operates a resort fee. Its value is established independently by subjects of the Russian Federation, but in 2018 can not exceed 50 rubles a day per person.
Earlier, Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev instructed the government to impose the Tax code quasianalogue payments, which formally will not be taxes, but nothing will be different.
