The mayor of the Dnieper admitted failing to ban Russian songs in the city

The mayor of the Ukrainian city of the Dnieper (up to renaming is called “Dnepropetrovsk”), Boris Filatov said that the decision to ban Russian songs in the city will not be accepted. About this he wrote in his Facebook.

“The city Council’s website each day there are dozens of projects, even the craziest. There will be a decision. First, it is impossible to fulfill. Secondly, we are not at war with books and music,” he said.

The proposal to ban songs of the Russian performers appeared on the website of the city Council 4 Sep. According to the authors of the proposal, the songs of Russian artists and Ukrainian artists supporting “the Russian military aggression against Ukraine” will have to disappear from the public transport, institutions of culture and leisure, hotels, restaurants and other public places.

On 29 July it became known that the Ukrainian children’s writer Larissa Nicoll imposed Ukrainian regime in a children’s camp in Carpathians, where she was invited to work. Those who spoke to the children in Russian, it was decided to impose a fine. Among the children could speak any language, but for public speaking in Ukrainian children encouraged more candy.
