Patriarch Kirill will travel to the Northern village of Russia

The Patriarch of Moscow and all Russia Kirill will visit the northernmost settlement of mainland Russia — Khatanga village of Dolgano-Nenets district of Krasnoyarsk region, reports”Interfax” with reference to press Secretary of the Patriarch, the priest of Alexander Volkov.

“In these remote places the Patriarch will make divine service, let me give my blessing to the locals, including the indigenous peoples of the North. It is important to understand that, despite the fact that compared to dioceses in Central Russia lives here much less people, the development of these small number of dioceses the congregation is a priority for our Church,” he said.

Trip to the village planned in the upcoming Patriarchal visit to the diocese of Norilsk, which Kirill will visit for the second time. The key event should be the consecration of the Church of the new Martyrs and Confessors of Russia in Norilsk, the tab of which the Patriarch made in 2015.
