The maximum duration of summer outages of hot water in Russia may be reduced to three days. Reported about it in interview to the newspaper “Kommersant” Deputy head of the Ministry of construction and housing and public utilities of Russia Andrei Chibis.
According to officials, the appropriate changes will be prescribed in the legislation. “In the framework of the experiment was a success for a number of major sections of several cities to cut off the hot water for up to three days, said the lapwing. — We have a year to practice in a larger number of cities and then planned to consolidate the new regulatory periods off hot water”.
Annual hot water shutdown for up to 14 days to be practised in the cities since Soviet times, they are caused by the necessity of preventive and capital repair of heating systems. Traditionally, the period of interruption of water supply will increase demand for water heaters, boilers, buckets and basins. The latter, according to published in mid-July of 2018 data are the most popular among urban residents who suffer from the inability to wash in the usual way.
In April this year the Deputy mayor of Moscow on issues of beautification and housing and utilities Pyotr Biryukov said that the period of preventive shutdowns in dwelling houses in the future may be reduced.
