Workshop to teach teenagers the basics of the traditional crafts of the peoples of Taimyr”, Oluko” opened in Norilsk on the basis of urban College of the arts, reports “Taimyr Telegraph” on Tuesday, September 11.
During the classes, designed for students aged 12 to 16 years, children will transfer the skills to create different items from bone, including objects of decorative art. Teachers will include representatives of the indigenous peoples of the North.
Students will also become familiar with the traditions, legends, national costumes and ornaments of the Dolgans, Nganasans and Nenets during the seminars and guided tours in the Museum. The project was created with the support of “Norilsk Nickel”.
