An English court revoked the order of arrest of assets of “Gazprom” in England and Wales within the framework of execution of the decision of the Stockholm arbitration on the dispute with Naftogaz. It is reported TASS citing a company statement.
“Today, the court reversed the order of June 18, 2018 on the seizure of assets of “Gazprom” in territory of England and Wales. A prerequisite for the lifting of the order was by “Gazprom” the obligation not to dispose of the shares of Nord Stream AG until the end of the hearings in the English court on the recognition and enforcement of a decision of the Stockholm arbitration in the case of the transit of February 28, 2018″, — stated in the message.
In February 2018 Stockholm arbitration court decided to collect with “Gazprom” $ 4.7 billion with “Naftogaz” 2.2 billion. After adding the requirements of “Gazprom” turned out to be $ 2.5 billion. The Russian company has challenged the judgment, but “Naftogaz” tried to execute it forcibly. In June, the London court allowed the seizure of assets of “Gazprom” in the UK more than 50 thousand dollars.
In August 2017, even before the decision of the Stockholm arbitration seizure of assets, “Gazprom” has organized the project financing of the pipeline “Nord stream-2”. Agent for crediting to 89.7 billion rubles were made by the British company Glas Trust. The pledge was transferred to the shares of “Gazprom” in the company 2 the Nord Stream AG — operator of the pipeline.
