The Minister of energy of the USA Rick Perry confirmed that Washington plans to impose additional sanctions against Russia’s energy sector, as well as against the project of the pipeline “Nord stream-2”. It is reported by RIA Novosti.
Perry asked whether the sanctions in case of continuation of the implementation of the pipeline and are there any new sanctions against the energy sector. “Yes, that’s affirmative answer to the second question,” he said.
In addition, the assistant to the head of the U.S. Treasury Marshall Billingsley said that Washington is considering the imposition of sanctions against the Russian company “Dry”, reports TASS.
“Obviously, we are very concerned that their aircraft, for example, can be used in chemical attacks against innocents in Syria,” explained Billingsley.
Earlier it was reported that the US plans to impose “very tough” second package of sanctions against Russia in connection with the alleged use of nerve agents “Newcomer” in the British Salisbury.
