MP Gerashchenko was accused of illicit enrichment

The national anti-corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) has filed a criminal case against Verkhovna Rada Deputy Anton Gerashchenko. On Friday, September 14, informs the Agency “Ukrainian news”.

The case was initiated under part 34 of article 368-2 (“Illicit enrichment”) of the Criminal code of Ukraine. As noted, the case is open according to the court, which ordered the NAB to register. At the moment pre-judicial investigation.

“Strenia” clarifies that the anti-corruption bodies interested in Gerashchenko out of the apartment in the Pechersk district of Kiev, which were not specified in its Declaration. Investigation of the apartment, which is home to the Deputy in March, was published by the journalist Denis Bigus. In August, the organization Bigus won the court which issued the order for NABOO.

Gerashchenko not inclined to worry because of the actions of NABU. “[Bigus] has investigated that, in his opinion, me and my family enough money to rent an apartment… He went to court, and the court ordered the NAB to open production”, — quotes its “Interfax”. Gerashchenko stressed that he is not worried in connection with opening of criminal proceedings, because the “clean before the law.”
