The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said that Kiev could not beat Russia. He wrote about this in his Twitter.
“I can say that we beat, and it’s been more than a year, as the Association agreement between Ukraine and the EU entered into force. The EU’s share in exports ranges from 42 to 43 percent, rapidly approaching 50 percent, and this greatly compensates for those losses which we have caused Russia”, — he wrote.
A similar statement Poroshenko made the day before, once again, finally saying goodbye to its Soviet past. According to him, the Russian vector of Ukraine’s development after the July NATO summit was finally dissolved, Ukraine was able to stand up to the Western course of development, despite years of resistance to the Kremlin.
On 30 August it became known that in the period from January to June 2018, Russia was the largest investor in Ukraine, having invested 436 million dollars. In second place was Cyprus, with 219 million dollars, completing the top three in the Netherlands (207,7 million).
