The Russians were interested in day trips to the English city of Salisbury after there was an incident with the poisoning of the GRU Colonel Sergei Skripal and his daughter Julia. This was announced by Executive Director of the Association of tour operators of Russia (ATOR) Maya Lomidze, RIA Novosti reported.
According to her, at the moment the route with a visit to Salisbury and Stonehenge occupies a leading place. “If you rank the routes for those tourists who come to London, the route with a visit to Salisbury and Stonehenge now occupies first or second place,” — said Lomidze.
She suggested that many tourists are interested to Salisbury in connection with a barrage of information about poisoning Skrobala in the media. While Lomidze noted that some tourists may refuse to visit Salisbury for the same reason.
Earlier in September, the administration of the city of Salisbury has invited specialists in the rebranding to create a new image of the city after poisoning Skrobala.
In March, Sergei Skripal and his daughter Julia was found unconscious in a Park in Salisbury. London believes that they were poisoned nervously-paralytic substance of the Novice class. The British authorities accused Russia of involvement in the poisoning.
