The Rosselkhoznadzor addressed the court demanding to suspend the production of “Petelinskaya”. The application filed due to the discovery in one of the Moscow shops of Salmonella and Listeria in the carcasses of the broilers produced by the company. This was reported on Wednesday, October 3, on the Agency’s website.
The Supervisory authority also cites early warning system “Cyrano”, according to which in the production of “Petelinka” has also found antibiotics.
Company ordered to determine what caused the violation. The Agency seeks to discontinue the products for three months and a fine of 700 thousand rubles.
The Rosselkhoznadzor said that in may, “Petelinka” has been fined 300 thousand rubles for the same reasons.
The company is included into group “Cherkizovo” — one of Russia’s largest producers of chicken meat. According to own data of the company, it accounts for 10 percent of the market. The group included, in addition to the “Petelinka” brand “Kurinoe Tsarstvo” and “Mosselprom”.
