Experts of the Russian international Affairs Council (RIAC) said the prospects of simplification of visa regime between Russia and China. This was reported in a research note, arrived in edition “Tapes.ru”.
As noted RIAC expert Vladimir Petrovsky, the introduction of a visa-free regime will have a positive impact on the development of relations in economy, trade, tourism and cultural ties between the two countries.
According to experts, mutual fears of Russia and China about visa-free regime are mainly reduced to the security issues. In this regard, the transition to a visa-free regime should be a phased process.
It is also noted that it should be separately put the question on the issuance of student visas with the right to temporary employment. “This measure will significantly facilitate the life of Chinese students in Russia and Russian students in China”, — specified in a research note.
In addition, the experts proposed to consider the development of partnership relations between the neighbouring Russian and Chinese territories, in order to simplify the trips of Russians and Chinese in these regions.
Earlier, in July, it was reported that Moscow and Beijing plan to sign an agreement on visa-free regime for tourists from both countries. The Deputy head of the Federal tourism Agency of Russia Nikolay Korolev told that this soon will be a series of meetings, and then signed the final document.
