The Deputy of the state Duma from “United Russia” Vitaly Milonov has proposed to protect students from the “pernicious influence” of pop culture. With this statement he appealed to the Minister of education of Russia Olga Vasilyeva, RIA Novosti reported.

In particular, the MP proposes to establish “etiquette of a student”, which would regulate rules of behaviour of children, including communicating with each other. Also Milonov supported the introduction of the dress code, according to which it will be forbidden to use makeup and hair dye.

Milonov added that in schools it is unacceptable to demonstrate membership in any informal Association. “Should be regulated on the Federal level for inadmissibility of manifestations of bias to any informal cultural associations: school is not a place to showcase their passions in music or informal movements,” he said.

In September it was reported that the daughter of the Deputy of the Perm city Duma was suspended from school for pink hair color. Later the Prosecutor’s office of the Perm region filed an administrative case against the school Director under the article on unlawful restriction of the right to education.

In December 2017 Milonov told about the right ways to recognize gays. “For example, throw it in the water in some river. If he drowned, then, not gay. Not drowned, if it floats and you throw stones at him, and he does not sink, then, like a witch or gay,” said the MP.

The Deputy known as a fighter for traditional family values and an outspoken opponent of the LGBT movement, as well as the author of the controversial initiatives.
