The Chechen Parliament approved an agreement on the border with Ingushetia

The Chechen Parliament unanimously adopted the Republican law on the establishment of the border between Chechnya and Ingushetia. It is reported RIA Novosti on Thursday, October 4.

Earlier Thursday, Parliament of Ingushetia confirmed the agreement about establishment of borders of Chechnya. Voted for 17 out of 25 members.

On 26 September the head of Ingushetia, Yunus-Bek Yevkurov and Ramzan Kadyrov has signed an agreement to determine the border between their regions. After that, in several areas of Ingushetia, there were mass protests: not everyone finds the exchange of lands of equal value. So, in one of the appeals was noted that in the territory, which will give Chechnya, has many monuments of historical and cultural importance, as well as canned oil.

In turn, the Ingush authorities recommended that residents refrain from discussing the redrawing of borders with Chechnya.

Meanwhile, Kadyrov called the question of establishing new boundaries decided and advised all the discontented to turn to the Federal centre, if they don’t believe the heads of the republics. He also said that the law is passed in Parliament, want the Chechens and Ingush or not.

Disagreements about the border between Ingushetia and Chechnya emerged from the heads of subjects in 2012. Then the parties are unable to divide the Sunzha and Malgobek districts. Each Republic created the Commission for the definition of territorial-administrative borders with a neighbor.
