Sberbank started to collect biometric data of the customers on its own platform. As informs RIA “news” customers can pass the voice data in the Bank branch or through the call center.
According to the representative of the Bank “Sberbank Online” was launched on the functionality of gathering consents to the processing of biometric personal data. “This agreement will allow now faster and safer to verify your identity when calling our contact centre, and in the future to use other biometric technologies in service in the Bank,” he said.
Biometric technologies in identification and authentication, as explained in the savings Bank are performed in strict compliance with the law. After the consent to the processing of biometric data, you can record a voice sample when calling the call center, IVR (voice menu scheme) or any office of the Bank.
The collection of biometrics of the clients of the Russian banks began on 1 July this year. According to the Bank, before the end of this year, this service must be not less than 20 percent of Bank branches in each region of presence. By the end of 2019 is planned to wholly transition to biometrics. Data will be stored in a Single biometric system (EBS), the operator of which is JSC “Rostelecom”.
