Prisoners in the Omsk penal colony staged a mass brawl



A mass brawl prisoners occurred in the colony №6 UFSIN of Russia across the Omsk region. This was reported in the Sunday press service of the Department, reports TASS.

The incident occurred on the evening of 6 October. By words a press-Secretary UFSIN of Russia across the Omsk region Svetlana Plotnikova, “a group of negative-minded convicts” demanded the weakening of the regime. “They tried to sway the other prisoners to their support, but they did not agree, and they fought the conflict,” she said.

The fight involved at least several dozen people, injured more than 20 prisoners. The situation was stabilized without the use of physical force by the employees of the FPS. All the victims convicted and received medical treatment. In the colony being tested, in fact the incident a criminal case.

In March 2017 a mass brawl prisoners occurred in penal colony №5 of the city of Kirovo-Chepetsk. It was attended by 20 prisoners. Special means, physical force and weapons by prison staff towards them was not used.
