The Kremlin has ruled out the resignation of the General staff and the Ministry of defense of the Russian Federation in connection with the statements of the Netherlands and the United States about cyber attacks, allegedly committed by the officers of the Russian army. This was stated press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov on Monday, October 8, reports “Interfax”.
“Information of such quality, of course, cannot be the basis for this [decision],” said Sands.
On 4 October Washington has accused seven Russians in cyber attacks against individuals and legal entities in the United States, as well as companies and international organizations around the world. According to the American Ministry of justice, they are all “officers of the Russian army”.
Four of them Netherlands is accused of trying to make a hacker attack on the organization for the prohibition of chemical weapons (OPCW).
In early October, the media wrote that the hacker group APT28 allegedly tied to Russian military intelligence.
