Inhabitants of Kiev managed to save from the beginning of may from 1.5 to 3.6 thousand hryvnia due to the lack of hot water. This was stated by Deputy head of city administration Peter Panteleev, writes “Ukrainian truth”.
However, he noted that people still boil water on a gas or electronic cookers and paid for gas or electricity. “If a person consumes an average of 2-3 cubic meters per month, family of three, which in may was without hot water, saved 3-3,6 thousand hryvnia. Citizens who have remained without hot water since August (Obolon, troyeschina, part of hem) — saved 1.5 thousand hryvnia,” — said Panteleev.
According to officials, the water flow will resume after court approval of the agreement between “Naftogaz” and “Kievteploenergo”. Panteleev said that Kyiv will return to Naftogaz UAH 2.3 billion of debt, but will not pay fines and penny.
Earlier, on October 5, the Mayor of Kiev Vitali Klitschko explained that citizens have to go without hot water because the Central water supply depends on gas supplies, which gave rise to difficulties. “They say that Klitschko spun the taps and turned off the hot water. Sorry, I again start to joke. What you need to cool the water became hot? To heat up. And what we heat water? Gas. And gas we don’t give,” he said.
