The Singapore Airlines launched the longest non-stop flight from Singapore to new York on Thursday, October 11. It is reported Channel NewsAsia.

It is expected that the flight would last about 19 hours and during this time the plane will overcome the nonstop 16.7 thousand kilometers. The flights are made by Airbus A350-900ULR, which can carry 161 passengers — 67 in business class and 94 in premium economy class.

On Board there are 15 crew members and two pilots, each of which can rest for eight hours during the flight. At the disposal of passengers 1200 hours of audio and video entertainment, as well as a menu of several meals.

It is noted that the Airbus A350-900ULR has large Windows, high ceiling and special lighting that minimizes jetlag and stress from the long flight.
