Suspected of having ties to ISIS Russians detained in Turkey

In Turkey detained two Russian citizens on suspicion of having links with a terrorist group “Islamic state” (IG, is prohibited in Russia). This was reported by DHA.

Police detained in the city of Kayseri in the Central part of the country, seven people, among them were citizens of Syria and Egypt. During the operation searches were conducted in the homes of the suspects, there were seized a large number of fake passports, electronic materials and documents.

Indicates that the detained Russians is Rashid Enikeev and Elana Rakhmanova. DHA writes that the man is in the international wanted list on charges of terrorism, however, he continued to participate actively in the Affairs of the IG. In particular, he helped the wives of the deceased members of the group to move secretly from Syria to Turkey.

Official comment of the Russian side has not yet been reported.

Earlier, on 11 October it was reported that in the Samara region, the Russian was sentenced to nine years in prison for participation in the activities of the “Islamic state”.
