The longest nonstop flight from Singapore to new York, launched by Singapore Airlines, landed at the Newark airport before the scheduled time. About it reports “Interfax”.

Ultimately, the duration of the flight was 17 hours and 53 minutes, which was 33 minutes less than expected.

The Singapore Airlines launched the longest non-stop flight from Singapore to new York on Thursday, October 11. It was expected that the flight would last about 19 hours depending on weather conditions, and during this time the plane will overcome the nonstop 16.7 thousand kilometers.

The flight was accomplished on an airliner Airbus A350-900ULR, which can carry 161 passengers — 67 in business class and 94 in premium economy class.

On Board were 15 crew members and two pilots, each of which could rest for eight hours during the flight. At the disposal of passengers were 1,200 hours of audio and video entertainment, as well as a menu of several meals.
