Russian border guards detained the Ukrainian fishermen in the Azov sea for illegal fishing. This was announced by the headquarters Operations of the United forces of Ukraine (OOS) on his page in Facebook.

Two citizens of Ukraine on the small ship was detained in the waters of the Gulf of Taganrog near the village of Veselo-Voznesensky. In the Bay the fishermen came out of the village Cold, which is under the control of the self-proclaimed Donetsk people’s Republic. Onboard frontier guards have found about four thousand fish of the family small, and about a hundred traps designed for catching. For men instituted administrative proceedings for violation of rules of fish caught, they face a fine, confiscation of vessel and instruments of fishing.

The Ukrainian side insists that Russia is provoking the fishermen to go out in controlled water risk to be detained by guards. “Controlled by the Russian Federation the self-proclaimed authorities, making illegal claims for the recovery of funds from fishermen in favor of the occupation of the administration, forcing people to take risks and to look for the catch off the coast of the aggressor, risking being detained by representatives of the border service of FSB of the Russian Federation”, — said at the headquarters of the OOS.

On 10 October it was reported that Kiev is preparing a provocation in the sea of Azov to discredit the Russian border guards. The Ukrainian party planned to send from the port of Mariupol border patrol boat with a group of journalists of Ukrainian mass media in order to gather material for a video report “about the aggressive actions of the border service of FSB of Russia concerning the Ukrainian civil courts and the blockade of sea ports of Ukraine in the Azov sea”.

Kiev believes that Russia violate the rights of Ukraine in the Black and Azov seas, and in this regard, is suing the Moscow. After completion of construction of Crimean bridge across the Kerch Strait between the two countries began to increase the tension in the sea of Azov. Ukraine fears that Russia will block the country access to that sea. The border guards of both countries several times detained and arrested belong to each other court in the Azov area.
