The human rights project “Area law” launched a Federal hot line for victims of domestic violence who are faced with the inaction of security forces and officials. This was reported on the website of the organization.

The line will run from 24 October to 2 November. Defenders will receive messages about negligence of the police and the bodies of guardianship and guardianship. All callers will give recommendations on where to go, what documents you need to collect for submission to the Investigation Committee or the court. If there is evidence of violence “Area law” can give victims legal advice on the matter. Received during the hotline information the organization will send to the UK and the Prosecutor General’s office.

According to Rosstat, in 2016 from domestic tyrants affected 16 million women. Ministry of the interior statistics shows that 40 percent of all serious violent crimes are committed in the family.

Frequently law enforcement agencies respond to reports of domestic violence with disdain, until the case comes to murder or serious harm. Human rights activists cite the example of the history of the Margarita Gracheva, whose jealous husband cut off the hands and the case when the eagle precinct said to the woman: “don’t worry, it will be the body – will come, will describe,” and five minutes later a woman killed roommate.
