The chief architect of Moscow Sergey Kuznetsov declared that the existing building seal is the only option for the development of the Russian capital. About it reports “Interfax”.
“The concept of development, when the city is condensed, and becomes more real estate per square meter is invented not today and not by us. The truth is, whether we like it or not like it, but living in the metropolis, we will deal with it further”, — said Kuznetsov.
The chief architect of the capital also noted that fragmented development is inconvenient for the city, including at the level of transportation and utility systems.
“There is a global trend in construction, which last 150-200 years go in the same direction and are fixed. This time-tested trend that cities are becoming more dense. We can only make it more interesting architectural and find a more humane approach,” concluded Kuznetsov.
In 2016, analysts of the company “INKOM-real Estate” investigated the density of development in areas of Moscow. The most built-up area was the Novokosino district that has gained within 12 percent of the housing stock of the Eastern administrative district of the capital. The area is only 2 per cent of the HLW.
