Fighter mixed martial (MMA) Artem Lobov, a member of the team Conor McGregor, in an interview with the YouTube channel of ESPN spoke about the reasons of the conflict between the Irish and the champion of the ultimate fighting championship (UFC) Habib Nurmagomedov.
“At first we had a normal relationship between me and Nurmagomedov, as well as between Habib and Connor. We are respectful to each other. However, at some point, Habib why he started to call Conor “chicken” (chicken, rooster). I don’t know why he began to speak, after all, McGregor is nothing bad about him not talking,” said Lobov.
According to the fighter, Nurmagomedov know that Russia is one of the most serious offenses, but still called so McGregor. “In Russia we call people who are raped in prison. Habib knows it, everybody knows it. This is a very serious offense,” he said.
McGregor was a contender Nurmagomedov in a title fight at UFC 229. The Russians won it painful reception in the fourth round and defended the belt in the lightweight division.
