Installing Russian anti-aircraft missile complexes (AAMS) S-400 to Turkey will start in October 2019. This statement was made by the Minister of defence of the country Hulusi ACAR, reports RIA Novosti.
“We are now hiring staff. Selected staff in the beginning of 2019, will travel to Russia for training, will receive the necessary knowledge, then go back and start to work”, — said the head of the defense Department.
In July Ankara’s plans to purchase SAM recognized the risk to NATO. The system may allow Russia to explore the work and specifications of the American F-35 fighter.
Earlier it was reported that s-400 will do the Turkey to the end of 2019. The Minister of foreign Affairs Mevlut Cavusoglu said that delivery will take place, despite the dissatisfaction of the US and NATO countries.
In September 2017 it became known that Moscow and Ankara signed an agreement to supply Turkey systems s-400. The contract provides for the sale of Ankara’s four divisions, equipped with these systems. The cost of the agreement is $ 2.5 billion, more than half of the amount will cover the Russian loan.
