In Rome, the migrants and the traffickers dealt with the girl

In Rome, three men of African descent, was arrested on suspicion of the murder of 16-year-old Desiree, Mariottini. This was reported by the newspaper The Local.

Two Senegalese age of 26 and 43 years was detained October 25. The next day the police caught a third suspect, 40-year-old native of Nigeria. They will be charged with gang rape, murder and drug trafficking. All three were convicted for drug trafficking.

Rome police are still searching for at least one suspect.

16-year-old Mariottini found dead in an abandoned building in San Lorenzo the night of October 19 after an anonymous call to emergency services. Investigators believe that she was driven to unconsciousness by drugs and sexually abused. The exact cause of death has not yet been reported.

The people of the city brought to the building where the murder occurred, the flowers and candles. “I want justice for Desiree. I don’t want this tragedy happened to other girls,” said the victim’s mother Barbara Mariottini.

The mayor of Rome Virginia Raja declared a day of mourning in honor of the deceased. She said that the authorities will strengthen control in the area of San Lorenzo and increase the minimum age at which you can buy alcohol. Raja also announced plans to demolish the abandoned buildings in this and other areas of the city.
