The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko violated the Protocol at the meeting with his Belarusian counterpart Alexander Lukashenko to stand for the position of Kiev. About it reports “112 Ukraine”.

The meeting was held in the city of Gomel in Belarus at the forum of regions. The Protocol first addressed Poroshenko, who focused on the development of trade, economic and investment cooperation between the two countries. She was followed by Lukashenko, who also said about the importance of economic and cultural issues, but at the end of the speech mentioned the “fratricidal war in Donbass” and noted that the armed conflict must address three of the Slavic people.

“This is our problem this is our problem — neither the Europeans nor the Americans, nor anyone else is we need to solve the problem, so it’s not frozen,” — said Lukashenko.

In response, the Ukrainian leader took the floor again, breaking the rules, and responded to the peer. He thanked Belarus for its support and said that Russia should withdraw its troops from the Donbass. “What are the Minsk agreement? It’s very simple: please get your troops, Russia, in our territory,” — said Poroshenko.

Relations between Kyiv and Moscow deteriorated sharply after the reunification of the Crimea with Russia in March 2014 and the beginning of the conflict in the Donbass in April of the same year. Ukraine regularly accuses Russia of waging war in the South-East of its territory and calls the aggressor, Moscow denies these charges.
