International group development of measures to combat money laundering (FATF) has issued recommendations for control over the circulation of cryptocurrencies, reports the newspaper “Izvestia” with reference to the Deputy head of Rosfinmonitoring Paul Livadny.
This means that all member countries of the FATF needs to change the law and start recording or registration sites for ICO, wallets for digital money, and so on. Regulatory authorities will monitor their activities, in particular regarding compliance with the standards for combating money laundering.
Livadny underlined that the FATF encourages to follow the exchange of cryptocurrency for the traditional money and digital money transfer from one purse to another. Price threshold at which to start control, will be installed additionally. For the physical financial assets, it amounts to 600 thousand rubles.
Previously, the issue of its own stablecoin cryptocurrency announced “Norilsk Nickel”. According to the President of the company Vladimir Potanin, a new currency will provide metals.
