“AvtoVAZ” plans to sign a contract for the supply of Lada cars to Cuba, reports “Interfax” with reference to Vice-President for external relations and interaction with shareholders, Eduard Vaino.
In total, the company plans to put the 513 cars for taxis, police and government agencies. As explained Vaino, purchase of cars Lada, GAZ and KAMAZ to Cuba are financed by credit lines of Vnesheconombank and Roseximbank, and also with the participation of Cuban partners.
The representative of the Russian automaker recalled that in 2018 in Havana has already received 344 of the car Lada Vesta, which is now operated as a taxi. Also, the country imported Lada Largus in five – and seven-seater version.
According to Vaino, “AVTOVAZ” already supplying cars to Bolivia and Chile. Also now intensive negotiations with Paraguay, Uruguay, Peru and Ecuador.
Earlier it was reported that sales of Lada cars abroad grew by 65 percent in the first nine months of this year. The greatest success the manufacturer has achieved in Kazakhstan, which came in first place in sales.
