Two women for the first time carried one child

Bliss Coulter and Ashley Countervote: Bliss Coulter

Two women — American women Ashley Coulter (Ashleigh Coulter) Coulter and bliss (Bliss Coulter) — for the first time in the history of medicine bore the same fruit by using a method called reciprocal in vitro fertilization (IVF). It is reported by The New York Post.

In the case of reciprocal ECO (eng. reciprocal IVF), a woman take the egg artificially fertilized with her “in vitro”, incubated, and then transferred into the uterus of another woman. In modified reciprocal IVF fertilized egg of bliss was placed inside the capsule-icubator INVOcell, which, in turn, was recorded in the cervix of bliss for five days, has not yet formed an embryo.

The embryo then was transferred to the womb of Ashley, and was observed within 10 days, has not yet caught on. This method is not costly and is worth 15 thousand dollars — two times less than traditional IVF. The child was born healthy and currently his age is five months. According to Ashley and bliss, they hope that a modified IVF will be useful for other same-sex couples.
