Russia took the 31st place in the ranking of ease of Doing business published by the world Bank.
The country has risen by four points compared to last year, when he placed 35th. Most of all, Russia has advanced in indicators such as “Connecting to the electricity supply system” and “Registration”. Each of the Russian Federation took 12th place.
The world Bank has said such reforms as the simplification of building permits and reducing the time of connection to the grid.
The Bank report noted that Russia can improve performance in such areas as “international trade”, “Resolving insolvency” and “Protecting investors”.
According to the decree of the President of Russia Vladimir Putin from may 2012, in six years the country had to be in the top 20 ranking. In the new version of the may decree, which entered into force in 2018, the goal is adjusted on the occurrence of one of the largest economies in the world by 2024.
In September, the world Bank has lowered the index of quality of public administration in 2017 to Russia to minus of 0.48 points. It is up 0.06 points worse than it was at the end of 2016. The index is calculated on the basis of six criteria: accountability, political stability and absence of violence, effectiveness of government, quality of regulation, rule of law and control of corruption.
