The rise of the sunken floating dock PD-50, used in the repair of aircraft carrier “Admiral Kuznetsov” is not helpful. Instead of the lost equipment allowed the acquisition of new. This opinion was expressed by “Interfax” familiar with the situation source.
According to the interlocutor, the PD-50 fell hard on the ground in case of flooding. Also lost both cranes, which were previously on the dock. Assessment source, “to contract for part of the repair of aircraft carrier “Admiral Kuznetsov”, which was supposed to make at the 82nd shipyard were completed, and the read option rapid acquisition of analog PD-50″.
However, if the sunken PD-50 decides to raise, the engineers will quickly solve several complex problems. “Chief among them — how to prevent the slide of the dock, caught on the edge of the hole to a depth of about 100 meters, is a natural recess in the bottom waters of the 82nd shipyard,” — said the source.
According to the source, currently the dock is at the bottom with a significant bias on the center line on the edge of the “pit”. One of its extremities is situated at a depth of about 10 meters, the other at a depth of about 30 meters. According to experts, his descent into “the pit” may contain “air bubble” formed in the unfilled water compartments in the “upper” part of the dock.
On October 30 the 82nd shipyard in Roslyakovo settlement (Murmansk region), where they repaired the only Russian aircraft carrier “Admiral Kuznetsov”, sank floating dock PD-50. The incident occurred due to an interruption in the supply of electricity that led to the abnormal filling of the tanks floating dock, resulting in PD-50 went under water. On the dock fell two tower cranes, one of them on the deck, the only Russian aircraft carrier, triggering the emergence of a hole size of 4 to 5 meters.
As a result of the repair of “Admiral Kuznetsov” have to obtain new energy equipment and weapons. Work is scheduled for completion in 2021. In July, the General Director of ship-repair center “Zvezdochka” Sergey Marichev said that to unload the old equipment will have to “maximize” almost half of the carrier.
