Mortality from Smoking and alcoholism in Russia is much higher than in other countries. It is reported TASS with reference to Deputy Minister of health Oleg Salaga.
“On the global scale, about 20 percent mortality in humans associated with the consumption of tobacco, consumption of alcohol in the global dimension is associated with approximately ten percent mortality rate, and for our country this percentage is significantly higher,” said Salagay on the “Community” forum. He added that in the first place from the tobacco and alcohol killed Russians of working age.
According to the UN, every year from tobacco kills about seven million people – more than the total number of deaths from tuberculosis, HIV/AIDS and malaria. Another three million die from alcohol. In the ranking of the most endangered from alcohol Nations Russia took third place in 2016 in the country from drinking died and 180 of the thousands of men and 43 thousands of women. First and second place in the ranking took China and India.
