German Chancellor Angela Merkel is to blame for the fact that Ukraine has lost Crimea and Donbass. About this on air of the TV channel ZIK said Verkhovna Rada Deputy from “Radical party” Yuriy Chizhmar.
He expressed the opinion that if in 2008 the Chancellor spoke against granting Ukraine the action Plan on membership in NATO, the conflict in the Donbas wouldn’t be, and the Crimea would not have returned to Russia.
“If we would had it (the Plan) today, perhaps, there would be no Donbass and Crimea, so we have to many questions”, — said the Deputy.
Relations between Kyiv and Moscow deteriorated sharply after the reunification of the Crimea with Russia in March 2014 and the beginning of the conflict in the Donbass in April of the same year. Ukraine regularly accuses Russia of waging war in the South-East of its territory and calls the aggressor, Moscow denies these accusations, pointing out the lack of evidence.
