Former Russia midfielder Andrei Arshavin in an interview with blogger, former football player Evgeniy Savin has predicted that “pork” in this season of the championship of Russia will be above the “horse meat”.
The conversation took place on the market of Alma-ATA, where Arshavin and Savin came for horsemeat. The blogger asked the player of “Kairat” who is higher in standings: “pork” (as in supporters called “Spartacus”) or “horse” (“horses” — the nickname of CSKA). Arshavin said that “Spartacus” will be higher, despite the fact that the club has fired coach Massimo Carrera.
Earlier on 5 November, “Kairat” has announced that Arshavin will leave the team. His contract with the club ends in December, it has not been renewed. In three season “Kairat” Russian scored 30 goals and gave up 37 assists. Together with the club the midfielder has twice won silver medals of the national championship, the Cup and the Supercup of Kazakhstan.
CSKA takes the fifth place in the Russian championship, scoring 20 points. Spartak with 19 points is seventh. Leading the table of the Saint Petersburg “Zenit”, the former club of Arshavin. He scored 31 points after 13 matches.
