Eleven people died in the explosion in the former building of the criminal police in Syria. On Monday, November 5, according to “Novaya Gazeta”, citing its own sources.
According to the interlocutor of the edition, the explosion occurred on 4 November in the building, located on the route Damascus — Deir ez-Zor. In this place, the source explained, is one of the divisions of the 5th corps of the Syrian army (SAA), staffed by Syrian volunteers and the so-called Russian “military advisers”.
As noted by the interlocutor of “Novaya Gazeta”, six of the 11 victims allegedly belonged to the mercenaries of private military companies (PMCs) Wagner.
The publication reported that has sent the request to the MFA of Russia “with a request to clarify the fate of Russians injured during this incident”.
In early February in Syria in an attack by U.S. aircraft also killed Russian mercenaries. Data on victims differ — from 11 to several hundred victims.
