Foreign Minister of Serbia Ivica Dacic said that the West needs to abandon its diplomatic campaign against recognition of Kosovo. It is reported by the Belgrade newspaper “evening news”.
“Albania complains about me to others, and the West needs to stop, because it irritates Albanians and destroys dialogue, while lobbying for new recognitions of the independence and membership in international organizations are considered to be normal,” explained Dacic.
He suggests that the West sees in the actions of the Serbian foreign Ministry, the violation of the dialogue of Belgrade with Pristina.
4 November it was reported that Grenada had become the ninth country to revoke the recognition of Kosovo’s independence. The decision was taken after a meeting of representative of the state with Dacic. Previously from support Kosovo at the request of Serbia refused Dominica, Suriname, Liberia, Sao Tome and Principe, Guinea-Bissau, Burundi, Papua New Guinea and Lesotho. The independence of the region categorically does not recognize Russia, China, Brazil and India.
In June, the leader of Serbia Alexander Vucic explained the refusal to recognize Crimea as Russian territory. According to him, the recognition of the jurisdiction of Russia over the Crimea would mean the recognition of Kosovo’s independence. He noted that he sees no contradiction between European integration of Belgrade and good relations with Moscow.
