Named the dirtiest city in Europe

Specialists have recognized the Macedonian Tetovo the most polluted European city. Data are presented on the website Numbeo Pollution in the ranking Index of the 2018 Mid-Year.

The list is compiled based on the analysis of ecology 76 cities in Europe. Indicator of pollution in Tetovo — 97,57 points. The second position went to the Italian Naples (84,61). In third place — the capital of Macedonia is Skopje with index 82,17 points.

Also in the top 10 included the Albanian capital of Tirana, Turin Italian, Romanian Bucharest, the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Sarajevo, Krakow Poland, Plovdiv (Bulgaria), as well as the capital of Ukraine Kiev.

Saint Petersburg took 17 th place, ahead of Moscow at the level of pollution in the two positions.

On the contrary, the most favorable to life from the point of view of ecology were two European capitals — Helsinki (Finland) and Reykjavik (Iceland).

In March, the capital of Iraq, Baghdad was recognized as the world’s worst city to live in according to the international consulting company Mercer. Followed by Baghdad in the list of the 450 settlements is Bangui — the capital of the Central African Republic (RPA).
