Press Secretary of Russian President Dmitry Peskov refused to comment on reports that full-fledged negotiations between the leaders of Russia and the United States in Paris on November 11 was cancelled at the request of the President of France Emmanuel Makron. It is reported RIA Novosti on Tuesday, November 6.
“In Paris do will be a lot of heads of States and governments, and a very busy agenda in terms of a ceremonial and official events,” — said Peskov.
The representative of the Kremlin said that the two leaders will somehow intersect at the festival and agree on a detailed conversation.
Earlier on Tuesday the newspaper “Kommersant”, citing a European diplomatic source said that macron has asked Moscow and Washington not to hold full-format talks in Paris that they are not overshadowed events dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the First world war.
On the eve of the US President Donald trump questioned the possibility of a meeting with the Russian President in Paris. At the same time, he confirmed the negotiations at the summit of “Big twenty” in Argentina, which will be held from 30 November to 1 December.
In the Kremlin, in turn, confirmed the refusal of the parties from the talks on November 11.
