Deputy Russian Prosecutor General Alexander Gutan wrote a letter of resignation. On Tuesday, November 6, reports RIA Novosti.
According to the Agency, following the resignation of Gutan released the third place of the Deputy Prosecutor General: at the end of October has resigned Ivan Semchishin, and in early October killed Sahak Karapetyan. The Prosecutor’s office said that Semchishin filed a resignation in connection with retirement.
The Deputy General Prosecutor Sahak Karapetyan was killed on 3 October in a helicopter crash. The crash occurred near the village Konysheva Kostroma region, in addition to Karapetyan on Board were three other people, none of them survived.
As found by the Investigation Committee, the helicopter was flying without permission. Upon crash a criminal case was initiated under part 3 article 263 of the criminal code (“Violation of safety rules of movement and operation of air transport, entailed death of two and more persons”). As a preliminary causes of the crash deals with the loss of a pilot’s orientation in the dark.
After the departure of Gutan and Semchyshyna, as well as the death of the President the Prosecutor General of Russia Yuri Chaika 12 deputies, including first Deputy Alexander Buksman.
