Russia has proposed the creation of a monitoring group of discrimination of Russians living abroad. This is stated in the report “Russians abroad: without the right to the right”, prepared by the Director of the Moscow Bureau for human rights and a member of the Council under RF President on development of civil society and human rights, Alexander Brod, reports “Kommersant”.
The text notes that every year the number of violations of the rights of Russians, temporarily or permanently residing in other countries. Including a marked increase in arrests and detentions, obstacles journalistic and diplomatic work, defamation, interference in personal life and provocations.

According to him, it is necessary to cooperate on the issue of discrimination of Russians with foreign human rights organizations, support NGOs, which spetsializiruyutsya on the provision of legal aid and discuss the issue at the UN, the Council of Europe and the OSCE. It is expected that the group will include members of NGOs, journalists, diplomats, and lawyers.
At the end of October the President of Russia Vladimir Putin said about the increase in the number of Russians wishing to return home. He noted that in the framework of the program of resettlement of more than 800 thousand citizens have moved into 66 regions of Russia.
