The length of the path from the su-57 is two times smaller than the su-35 that allows you to use it with short strips without any special devices, said the chief designer-Director of “Sukhoi” Mikhail Sagittarius.
“The plane needs to land on the short strip without special tools. The exact numbers can not name because it’s a secret thing, but they are two times smaller than the su-35” — said the expert.
According to the TV channel, one of the conditions indicated in the specifications on the su-57 was the possibility of takeoff and landing fighter aircraft on a shortened runway.
In November, the TV station published a few videos with the participation of su-57, in particular, the passage of the fighter under the radar and testing of a composite wing Russian fighter.
The length of the path of the su-35 with normal takeoff weight, braking parachute and use the brakes is about 600 meters. The use of aviapereletov on the aircraft carrier “Admiral Kuznetsov” allows to reduce the total mileage comparable to the su-57 on the takeoff weight of the heavy fighter su-33 to 90 meters.
