The Russian company “Gazprom” and “Surgutneftegaz” are engaged in fierce negotiations with Western buyers to seek a review of the contracts for 2019. About it reports Reuters, citing its sources.
Companies seek opportunities to move to pay in Euro (at the moment the calculations are made in dollars). In addition, the contracts want to write a paragraph describing the responsibility for the buyers for delay or denial of payment sanctions.
According to the source, Russian companies seek to protect themselves from further sanctions, the buyers, in turn, do not want to take all the risks. At the moment the parties are trying to compromise.
