The villages of houseboats — self-propelled homes on the water and Riverhouse (residential structures located on the pontoons) will appear in the waters of the three reservoirs of the Moscow region in 2019-2020. It is reported RIA Novosti citing a source in fsbi “Moscow Canal”.
“Russian-Danish company Houseboat.ru a single houseboat is already building, but clusters of houses — at least two of the floating village — will appear on Pestovskoe, Klyazminskoe and the Khimki reservoir only to 2019-2020 years, — said the Agency interlocutor. Company “Capital yachts” with a pool of private investors is planning to create towns of Riverhouse — propelled homes on the water. The pilot project is scheduled for mid-2019″.
The source noted that Riverhouse is also possible to do floating by the installation of engines. Such houses are considered as boats and are registered in the State inspection on small size vessels.
At the end of October it was reported that each of the floating villages in the suburbs will be designed for 15-30 houseboats ranging from 100 to 160 square meters. One village will occupy about a hectare of water surface. Parking and associated infrastructure will be placed on the Bank under these facilities is scheduled to take up to 0.5 hectare of land.
