The trade turnover between Russia and China by 2018 will reach $ 110 billion, said the Minister of economic development Maxim Oreshkin in an interview with “Izvestia”.
“Set this year’s goal of $ 100 billion will surely be exceeded,” said Oreshkin.
To achieve a turnover of 200 billion dollars, he said, will have to develop a number of areas. In particular, the Minister drew attention to the relatively small volumes in trade in services — about $ 4 billion. “The potential for the development of relations is very large,” said Oreshkin.
Also the Minister of economic development stated the necessity of creating a single space of electronic Commerce, the development of which is important for small and medium businesses of the two countries. Yet, as he said, the flow of Chinese goods to Russia through the channels of e-Commerce exceeded $ 3 billion.
“In General, we need to work on creating a common space of e-Commerce, the Chinese manufacturers had access to the Russian market, and Russian in China,” said Oreshkin.
Earlier, Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said that Russia and China in the near future should double the turnover. He said that interaction is important in the context of “hostile acts” faced by the two countries in the world.
