Poroshenko from Paris asked the residents of Donbas not to vote

The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko urged residents self-proclaimed DND and LNR not to participate in the elections of heads and deputies of people’s councils of the republics. The President’s speech published on his page in Facebook.

“I appeal to those Ukrainians who now are forced to live in the occupied territories — don’t give away your vote, do not participate in the fake elections!”, he said. The die on the video indicates that the Ukrainian leader made his statement in Paris, where in those days celebrated the 100th anniversary of the end of the First world war.

10 November, the Minister of foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin has promised that Russia will face new sanctions because of the elections in the Donbass. “We, together with our partners already working on it,” he said.

Elections of the heads of DND and LNR will be held on 11 November. Kiev and several Western countries said they would not recognize the elections in the breakaway republics. On 6 November, the press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov said that Moscow is very important who will lead the DNI and the LC. On the question of the recognition of the results of the vote, he refused to answer, but indicated that elections do not contradict the Minsk agreements.
