A retired Colonel of the Austrian army, the suspect by the Austrian authorities in espionage in favor of Russia, gave information about the preferences of different influential people in the drinks and food. On Saturday, November 10, the newspaper Salzburger Nachrichten.

70-year-old retired Colonel of the Austrian armed forces were detained in Austria on 9 November. It is suspected the 20-year espionage activities in favor of Russia.
After the incident in Vienna demanded explanations, and the Minister of foreign Affairs has canceled a planned December visit to Russia.
The Russian foreign Ministry condemned the approach of the Austrian partners to similar issues. In particular, the Minister of foreign Affairs of Russia Sergey Lavrov said that Austria first had contact with the Russian side, and then come out with the allegations in the information field.
